Why tint

Built for California's relentless sun

Rejects heat

Keep your cabin cooler with ceramic tint that noticeably cuts the heat you feel the moment you get in.

Protects your interior

Cuts down on sun exposure that fades and cracks your dashboard and seats over time.

Cuts glare

Less squinting into the sun and oncoming headlights, for more comfortable driving day and night.

Adds privacy

Darker rear glass keeps your belongings out of sight and gives you a more finished look.

Know your film

Carbon or ceramic?

Both look great. The difference is how much heat they reject. We'll help you choose the right one for your car, and give you a free quote either way.

Stay legal

California tint law, in plain English

We keep your car looking great and street-legal. Here is how California's rules work, and the Tint Studio shows it live as you choose a shade.

  • Front side windows: film must let more than 70% of light through
  • Rear side windows: any darkness allowed
  • Back windshield: any darkness allowed
  • Windshield: a non-reflective strip along the top

FAQ

Window tint questions, answered

How dark can I legally tint in California?
Aftermarket film on the front side windows must allow more than 70% of light through (VLT). Rear side windows and the back windshield can be any darkness, and the windshield allows a non-reflective strip along the top. We will help you choose a legal, great-looking setup.
Carbon or ceramic, what's the difference?
Carbon looks great and offers solid everyday heat control at a friendly price. Ceramic rejects more heat without going darker, for a cooler cabin.
How long does it take?
A standard sedan typically takes a few hours. We will confirm the timeline when you request your free quote.
